Gender Transition in the Workplace

A 90 minute presentation specifically for Human Resource personnel.  This program will aid policy makers who wish to integrate gender identity and/or expression into their corporate policy handbook or to meet diversity guidelines and standards.

The process of transitioning and how to integrate it into your procedure policy.

 

How to manage transition in the workplace

PERSONAL PROTECTION

AND

CONFRONTATION AVOIDANCE

​

 

A 90 minute presentation desonstrating ways to avoid a  physical confrontation. It also demonstrates what to do if a physical confrontation is imminent. This interactive presentation can be designed for the general population or for transgender people specifically. Transgender people are often targeted for hate violence based on their non-conformity with gender norms and/or their perceived sexual orientation. Hate crimes against transgender people tend to be particularly violent.

 

 

Topics Include:

 

How to recognize and avoid situations that could possibly put you at risk. 

 

How to not present yourself as a victim.

 

How to recognize an attacker.

 

What to do and how to respond if you are confronted.

 

Simple self defense release moves will be demonstrated.

 

Audience participation in practicing these basic techniques is encouraged but not mandatory.

We can help your HR personnel update your corporate policy handbook to include gender diversity. We use a "common sense" approach to keep our integration reccomendations reasonable and relevant so that policy implementaion is as seamless as possible.

Transgender  Q & A

This is a very popular program which is primarily for those groups that wish to become more informed about the transgender community in a general sense.  This presentation is not designed just for business or industry.  Rather it is an informal, interactive type of presentation that will provide the audience with a general familiarity and understanding of the transgender condition and how it interacts with present day society.  Time allotment for this presentation should be a minimum of 1 hour.
