ABOUT US

Transgender people

are not all that different from their cisgender friends. As human beings, we have a lot in common.  One of those things is that we all must work for a living.  Friction on the job between transgender people and uninformed coworkers can be disruptive and unproductive for the employer if that employer has not prepared for this situation.  There are about 1.1 million transgender people ages 18 – 65 available to work in the USA today.*  With a total of over 1.6 million adult Americans identifying as transgender (at this time), it is very likely that most businesses will encounter a transgender person during the normal course of business.  That person may be an employee, client or a customer.  Businesses that are not committed to an inclusive, trans friendly workplace can experience reduced employee productivity, lost sales opportunities and a reduced talent pool from which to recruit.  I provide education and training so that, when this eventuality occurs, the results will be positive rather than negative.

As a transgender woman,

I have been passionately serving the transgender community for many years.  When I retired from teaching,  I wanted to do something with the rest of my life that would, in some small way, be beneficial to our society. I believe that if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.  I want to be part of the solution.  There is a monumental need to educate the workforce regarding the transgender community due to the large amount of misinformation, erroneous assumptions and general lack of knowledge that exists concerning transgender workers.

People fear what they do not understand.  My goal is to help business professionals more accurately understand what it means to be transgender.  In that way, as the rate of transgender people entering the workforce increases, they can do so in a way that is seamless and non-disruptive to the workplace.

Our vision

is to help make the LGBT community an accepted and integral part of modern society. LGBT people exist and have existed for as long a human beings have populated the planet. How they are treated is a choice made by society. It is our belief that changes in the principles that structure our society occur only as a result of education. To that end, we would like to help.
